Week 1 Lab

 1. Big Question: How do we make a race exciting between people who run at different speeds? 2. In Thursday's lecture, we learned about how we can calculate the speeds of two objects (distance/time=speed). We can use their speeds to calculate when the objects will reach an endpoint at the same time. I believe the lecture emphasized the importance of using units of measurement as well. We also examined NGSS and related it to our scientific investigation. 3. Weekly Textbook Reading I learned about speed, velocity, and acceleration. Speed is a scalar quantity because it only gives the magnitude while velocity and acceleration are vector quantities because they give both a magnitude and direction. I think the video about the differences between speed, velocity, and acceleration was helpful. I think I want more information on how I can make a model at all of these concepts at work. Like a graph or some visual representation to really outline the differences and how they interact with ea...
